I grew up in the Bay Area listening to the radio and developing a love of music, news and sports. These came to me via tv, word of mouth and especially radio. Discovering this website and the radio broadcasts from the past is an absolute treat. Thank you to everyone who has contributed.
I was a DJ here as a fill-ins on weekends in the early ’70’s
> I was a DJ here as a fill-ins on weekends
Where is “here,” Bob? There are about 100 stations listed on this page.
In the early 1970’s I was a fill in weekend DJ at KWUN in Concord, CA
Is KYA off the air? I go to 1260AM but its just static
You would have to contact the station directly – we do not monitor the station on a regular basis.
I am searching for a ‘spoof’ ‘blessing’,
That was played in the ‘70’s. I think on KFRC…. Don’t know the title, here are a few lines as I recall….
‘May Vishnu be above you….
UNGOWA watch over you ….
….
“May UMBLEEB of the 7 moons light your way’. ‘
I tried Searching quotes, prayers & blessings, to no avail.
