KFRC Radio, San Francisco
QSL Reception Verification Card

November 30, 1937

KFRC QSL Card (Image)

This postcard, known in the hobby as a “QSL card,” verified reception of San Francisco’s KFRC by Richard Wright, who had successfully tuned in the station at his home in Chicago in November 1937.

At this time, KFRC broadcast from studios above the showroom of station owner Don Lee’s Cadillac dealership at 1000 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco, and had recently ended its affiliation with the Columbia Broadcasting System, as evidenced by the hastily X-ed out reference to the network on the card.

ORIGINAL SIZE: 4 inches x 6 inches.
