Don Sherwood billed himself as the “World’s Greatest Disc-Jockey.” His legendary morning show on Golden West’s 560 KSFO had monster ratings in the ’50s and ’60s. The Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame’s Don Sherwood Award is voted on each year by the public to honor the most popular music radio, news, and sports personalities.
