Johnny Morris, one of the keystone personalities of KSOL and KDIA in the 1960s and 1970s, died over the weekend in Southern California, according to posts on his Facebook page.

Originally from Fresno, he attended Edison High School in his hometown and Poly High in San Francisco. He later studied at City College of San Francisco.

Johnny worked as Ronnie Dark on KSOL (1450 AM) in the early 1960s. Most recently he was a broadcast engineer at KTYM in Inglewood.
