Trish Bell is a veteran of 40 years in radio broadcasting. Trish was born in San Francisco and raised in the East Bay. She began her radio career in the Monterey Bay Area; KZSC in Santa Cruz, then KWAV, KDON and KMBY.
In the South Bay, Trish was co-host of the Bay Area’s first morning shock show on KSJO, San Jose, with rock shock jock Perry Stone. Proving her versatility, Trish then flipped to mellow KABL, working mornings with Bill Moen, and doing middays solo. Later on, she moved to “The Quiet Storm” KBLX to host mid days, then to Smooth Jazz KKSF on the morning team for several years.
Other stations on Trish’s resume include The Bone (KSAN), KABL (Filling in for Carter B. Smith), as well as successful runs at KKIQ and KKSF
Trish then went to work at the South Bay’s KBAY after which she began hosting a Sunday morning show for KABL Nostalgia.
At the time of her induction, Trish is hosting Saturday evenings at KZAP Sacramento and Sunday mornings at KABL. Trish taught at the Academy of Broadcasting in Fremont, and taught Voice Over workshops at Las Positas College while serving on the Radio Advisory Board. A member of “Broads in Broadcasting” Trish now resides in Amador County with her husband, Jeff.
