To say that Marty Lurie loves baseball would be an understatement. That love led him to the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. Marty has been hosting Major League Baseball pre-game shows since 1997, beginning with an Oakland A’s affiliate in Concord, then with the A’s themselves, and finally with the San Francisco Giants. A former attorney with a true passion for the game, Marty decided years ago to put away the law books and focus on the scorebooks. For many years, nobody logged more hours on Giants flagship station KNBR 680 during the baseball season than Marty Lurie. Marty possesses an almost photographic memory when it comes to baseball. He’s just as adept at talking about a game from the early 1950s as he is talking about this season’s team.
