Sam Van Zandt is a veteran of more than forty years in Bay Area radio, wrapping up his career by holding down the top-rated morning show on KBAY in San Jose with co-host Lissa Kreisler.
Van Zandt, a San Jose native, graduated from Lincoln High School and studied Broadcasting at San Jose State University. His Bay Area broadcast resume includes morning and afternoon spots on 1260 KYA, K-101, KNEW-KSAN, KCBS-FM and KFRC.
In addition to his on-air work, Sam has devoted years to community service, and received a lifetime achievement award for 30 years’ service to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
