Raised in San Jose, Lissa Kreisler started her broadcasting career in the news department at KLOK after graduating from San Jose State University with a BA in Journalism. After ten years covering news and traffic as part of a three-person morning show, KLOK changed formats. Kreisler jumped over to KBAY and KEEN, starting with news and then adding the title of Morning Show Co-Host at each of these stations.
When KEEN went off the air in 1992, Kreisler devoted her entire radio time to KBAY, staying there for 30 years co-hosting the morning show with the legendary Sean O’Callaghan and others before becoming co-host of the top-rated morning show with Sam Van Zandt (BARHOF 2014).
Kreisler is well-known for her commitment to the South Bay community, having hosted hundreds of fundraising events and activities for nonprofits and other community organizations over the years.
