Bill Lueth began his Bay Area radio career in 1989 as an announcer at KKHI. He became a news anchor on KPIX-FM, and then moved to KDFC in 1997 as the station’s morning host. He would become its operations and program director, leading KDFC through numerous changes in ownership and a challenging transition to public radio. Through it all, KDFC has maintained its position as one of the best-regarded and most-listened-to classical stations in the country. Under Bill’s leadership, KDFC has twice been honored with the National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Award for Best Classical Station in America.
Lueth is a trumpeter and holds a Masters of Music degree in opera performance.
