This version of KRSH came into being when owners Wine Country Radio swapped call letters with their FM station KSXY broadcasting from Geyserville on the 98.7 frequency.  Wine Country Radio, run by Fred and Mary Constant of Calistoga, had been acquired by Bob Sinclair’s Sinclair Communications (not related to TV station giant Sinclair Inc.) in 2001.

Prior call letters for the Healdsburg-licensed station were KSXY (1999-2002) and KHBG, the call letters assigned when it went on the air in 1996.

Noteworthy air talent has included Bill Bowker, Bob Sala, Gil Mansergh, David Gross, and Brian Griffith. Bowker’s Blues With Bowker program became one of the nation’s longest-running blues broadcasts; Bowker promoted numerous blues music events and would be referred to as “a ubiquitous presence on the Sonoma County entertainment scene.”
