In March 2024, the long and strange saga of Ed Stolz’s ownership of the 92.7 FM station licensed to Alameda ended with a $3.75 million dollar bankruptcy court sale to Friends of KEXP, the operators of Seattle’s beloved noncommercial FM station.
Re-christened KEXC, the Bay Area station returned to the airwaves as essentially a simulcast of the programming coming from KEXP.
