KEMR briefly existed as a Bay Area station in two periods (a few days in April 2002 and then from January 2003 to September 2004). Owner Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation moved the call letters from KSOL (98.9 FM/San Francisco) to the 105.7 frequency, then reversed course. In September 2004, KEMR became KVVF.
During the time the KEMR call letters were used, the station aired a regional Mexican music format.
The KEMR call letters have most recently been used by an FM station licensed to Moriarty, NM.
