KBGG 98.1 FM San Francisco, CA

KBGG was a short-lived phase in the history of the 98.1 frequency in the Bay Area.

The call letters first appeared on January 2, 1995, several months after the format on precursor KABL-FM had been switched from soft Adult Contemporary to a 70’s-focused classic hits mix. The station branded itself as “K-Big 98.1”.

On July 23, 1997, KBBG vanished as station owner Chancellor Media flipped the format to urban adult contemporary under new call letters and branding: KISQ, “98.1 Kiss FM”.
