Veteran Bay Area broadcaster Sue Hall emerged as the leading vote-getter in the 2025 Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame “Don Sherwood Award” competition. Hall, heard weekdays from 10 AM to 2 PM on KZST 101.1 and weekends on 96.5 KOIT, was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame (BARHOF) in 2019.
The Don Sherwood Award is named after the late, legendary KSFO morning star who referred to himself as “The World’s Greatest Disc Jockey”. Balloting was conducted online between April 1 and May 15, with the public being asked to cast votes for their favorite current on-air personalities.
Official criteria for the Don Sherwood Award, as adopted by the Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame Board of Directors:
To be eligible for the Don Sherwood Award, an individual must be regularly appearing on locally-originated broadcasts on a radio station licensed to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, Napa County, San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Solano County, and Sonoma County).
