Stan arrived at Alameda’s KJAZ in 1967 and carried the venerable station through to its end in 1994, serving as its morning man. After the station’s run ended, Stan kept the KJAZ spirit alive online for jazz fans around the world. Stan also worked at several other Bay Area radio stations, including KFOG, KIOI, KKSF, KNBR, KRON-FM and KCSM.
