Richard Gossett found his love of radio as a fan of Bay Area Top 40 radio. He’s remembered for a different sound: Gossett became a model of the laid-back FM DJ on free-form radio when he worked on the “Jive 95”-era KSAN through the ’70s.
When KSAN changed to a country music format, he moved on to other stations including KUSF, KTIM, KKCY (“the City”), KQAK, KFOG and KRCB. Richard’s other career was serving as a brewmaster at Anchor Steam Brewing Co in San Francisco.
