Peter Cleaveland did some of his best work at KGO’s news department from 1967 through 1975. He also contributed memorable reports to ABC Radio News.
He moved to KGO-TV in 1975, remaining there until1980, when he became a correspondent for ABC News.
Cleaveland also was an organizer for the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA),\.
After he retired, Peter helped to lead the local Broadcast Legends organization to prominence and continued to serve the group for many years.
