
Michael Krasny hosted the popular current affairs interview program “Forum” on KQED for 28 years, until his retirement in 2021.
Krasny joined KQED after a stay at KGO. Prior to KGO, Krasny hosted a weekly Marin County talk show called “Beyond the Hot Tub” on KTIM in the late 1970’s. He also produced and hosted “Take Issue” on KRON-TV, and “Talk of the Nation” on NPR Radio.
Off the air, Krasny enjoyed a lengthy tenure as a professor at San Francisco State University, where he primarily taught American Literature. He’s the author of several books: “Off Mike,” “Sound Ideas,” “Spiritual Envy” and “Let There Be Laughter: A Treasury of Great Jewish Humor and What It All Means”.
