The radio name “Jack Friday” is a clever offshoot of and reference to the iconic radio and television character “Joe Friday” from the show “Dragnet”. As one of the fabled “610 Men” from KFRC’s years as “The Big 610”, Jack Friday first rocked the Bay on KFRC from 1971-73.
Jack later rode the airwaves at KSFX, KBLX, KOIT, KIOI, KYUU, and the later iteration of KFRC’s Oldies station in the late 90’s. In the 2000’s, Jack moved his unique radio style to Bend, Oregon; Juneau, Alaska; Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
