Ed Baxter joined KGO as a street reporter in 1976, assigned to Contra Costa County. He spent the next 35 years at the station, including lengthy stretches anchoring the afternoon and morning news blocks.
After his departure from KGO in 2011, Baxter hosted talk shows on KKSF 910 and spent several years as a news anchor for San Francisco-based Bloomberg Radio.
Baxter is a graduate of Cal State-Northridge.
