Bob Harlow was known as a programmer at several Bay Area radio stations. He established KEZR as a Soft Rock station, played a management role at KSJO during its morning drive air talent transition from Perry Stone to Lamont and Tonelli, positioned KATD as a Top 40 station, and programmed KFRC-FM as a Classic Hits station.
Harlow was born in Upland, CA and raised in nearby Ontario. After attending Southern California’s Chaffey College, Harlow held on-air and management positions in Riverside, Corona, and Bakersfield. After working in the radio syndication business in Hollywood, he arrived in San Jose for the first of two runs as program director at KEZR in 1978.
Harlow would later program KATD as the Los Gatos station battled KWSS in the mid-’80s.
Harlow programmed stations in Portland, OR and Houston before returning to the Bay Area as program director at KFRC between 2004 and 2006.
