Annalisa, as she’s known to listeners, was born in Las Vegas, grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, and graduated from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.
As a child, she practiced for a future radio career, making up “interviews” with stars. She told BARHOF, “I used to take a tape recorder and read music magazines. I would pretend to be the British interviewer and the rock star, going back and forth and making up fake commercials.”
She began her actual radio career at WAAF in Boston and later became the first woman to host a rock radio morning show in Boston at WZLX. Her first Bay Area gig was a weekend shift at KRQR before moving to KFOG, where she enjoyed a 20-year run as midday host. At KFOG in 2008, Annalisa took over the popular “Ten at Ten” program when Dave Morey retired. After departing KFOG she returned to Boston in 2017 to join WXRV and was later heard on Chicago’s WXRT-FM.
