Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame Inducts 17 New Members

2024 BARHOF Inductees

In front of an audience of nearly 200 at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco, the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame (BARHOF) welcomed The Class of 2024 at its annual induction luncheon on October 19, 2024.

The honorees voted on by current BARHOF members and members of the California Historical Radio Society include Trish Bell, Marvelous Mark McKay, and Miranda Wilson in the Program Host category; Liz Saint John  in the News category; Tom Tolbert in the Sports category; Kent Hedberg  in the Engineering category; Richard Sands in the Management category; and Sandee Althouse in the Specialty category.

In addition, the Bay Area Radio Museum/Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame Board of Directors selected Kevin Gorham (Educator);  and the late Larry Bensky (Special Honoree); as well as  Clarence “Clancy” Cassell, Bonnie Chastain, Frank Knight (Frank Dale Leber), Dick Leonard, Jane Riley, Knowles Robertson, and Sam Skinner (all deceased and inducted through a process designed to salute Bay Area broadcasting legends).
