In front of a full house in the Chandelier Pavilion at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant in Oakland, the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame (BARHOF) welcomed its newest members on Saturday October 18, 2025.
The 27 inductees bring the total number enshrined since BARHOF began to 285.

In addition to the new BARHOF members selected in a vote by previous inductees and members of the California Historical Radio Society, several inductees were chosen by a decision of BARHOF’s operating committee. They’re referred to as “Legacy Inductees”. Here’s a video introducing this group:

Two important individuals were presented with “BARHOF Lifetime Achievement Awards”. David Ferrell Jackson founded the Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame, and Len Shapiro is the organization’s longtime Executive Director. Without the vision and efforts of both men, there would be no BARHOF.
Sue Hall, who earlier in 2025 won the Don Sherwood Award as the Bay Area’s most popular air talent, was presented with that award.
