The Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame (BARHOF) has been honoring the best in Bay Area broadcasting since 2006. For most of those years, balloting has been limited to two categories of people:
1) Those already inducted into BARHOF
2) Members in good standing of the California Historical Radio Society (our parent organization).
While we’d love to have you become a full CHRS member, we also want to offer a simpler, lower-cost way for you to participate.
Thus, our new “Donate To Vote” plan. For a tax-deductible $5 donation to CHRS (a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization), you can cast a ballot in this year’s BARHOF election. A few things to keep in mind:
This program is for people who are NOT ALREADY members of CHRS or BARHOF!
It’s strictly a “one person-one vote” election…you may vote ONCE ONLY, no matter which version of the ballot you use!
You’re welcome to contribute more than the minimum $5 to vote, but additional donations don’t buy any more votes!
To access the ballot, simply fill in the form below.

Better known for keeping the memory of SF and bay area sports broadcasters like Bill King, Lon Simmons, etal. In memory, and validation of your organization, I have been searching for the Radio Station host of the first Psychedelic Rock Station in the US. The station was KMPX and the host ran the first STEREO ROCK music on FM from midnight to 6 am on weekdays. This host was before KMPX was taken over by Tom Donahue on Green Street in SF. I’ll happily join your merry group if you remember the name. To the memory of Dusty Street, the most beautiful sound engineer I ever had the pleasure of sharing brief fleeting moments.
You’re probably thinking of Larry Miller at KMPX. https://bayarearadio.org/station/kmpx
