This print ad, announcing the shift of “Dobbsie” — Hugh Barrett Dobbs — to KFRC and the Columbia network stations on the West Coast, appeared on the back cover of Broadcast Weekly magazine for the week of February 7-13, 1932.hugh-barrett-dobbs

In addition to KFRC, the program could be heard each weekday from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on KMJ/Fresno, KOIN/Portland, KOL and KVI/Seattle, KDB/Santa Barbara, KHJ/Los Angeles, KGB/San Diego, KFPY/Spokane, KWG/Stockton and KFBK/Sacramento.

In 2006, Dobbsie (photo, right) was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame with the first class to be enshrined.
