Publicity Photo, 1966
Johnny Holliday (at left in photo), pictured here with the star of NBC Television’s “The Roger Miller Show,” was the announcer on the weekly variety program. Roger Miller, best known for his million-selling “King Of The Road,” had a string of country crossover hits in the mid-1960s, including “Dang Me,” “Chug-A-Lug,” “Do-Wacka-Do,” “Engine Engine #9,” “England Swings” and “You Can’t Roller Skate In A Buffalo Herd.”
