Pacific Bell Yellow Pages
San Francisco Radio Stations
1977
The 1977 Pacific Bell telephone book for San Francisco included these listings under “Radio Stations & Broadcasting Companies.” Under ‘C’ this time around is a listing for Tom Campbell, San Francisco’s Top Radio Personality,” who includes virtually every possible way to get in touch with him — including ship-to-shore.
KNAI is the short-lived attempt at FM news and information (hence “NAI”) by NBC, while the snappily-named San Francisco Wireless Talking Machine Co. is known more simply as the parent company of K-101, owned by James Gabbert.
