On the 12-60 survey for this week, Donovan’s “Hurdy Gurdy Man” has displaced the Rolling Stones’ “Jumping Jack Flash” in the top slot, while acts running the gamut from Johnny Cash (“Folsom Prison Blues”), James Brown (“Lickin’ Stick”), Julie Driscoll (“This Wheel’s On Fire”) and the Monkees (“It’s Nice To Be With You”) are able to find spots among the top sixty local hits.

Chris Edwards moved on to K-101 following his run at KYA, and later worked at the combined KSFO/KYA-FM. He segued into a successful career behind the scenes in radio, working as an advertising salesman for Clear Channel’s cluster of San Francisco stations. In 2007, after briefly repping for the transplanted KTRB (860 AM), he was hired to market Classic Hits KFRC (106.9 FM).
