NBC Radio City, Hollywood

When NBC opened its new Radio City building in Hollywood in 1938, it marked the end of San Francisco’s prominence as a network radio center. This view of Vine Street, looking north from Sunset Boulevard, is from a 1944 color post card. The building was demolished in 1964 when NBC moved its TV studios from Hollywood to Burbank. The corner location is now occupied by a bank.
