The final hour of rock’n’roll on KSFX (103.7 FM) in San Francisco, with Richard Gossett holding court until Jim Dunbar (photo, right) and Ted Wygant move in with the rest of the morning news team and the station becomes, officially, KGO-FM.

Dunbar (2006), Wygant (2009) and Gossett (2017) are all members of the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. KGO Newstalk 810 AM was awarded Legendary Station status in 2010.

KSFX Becomes KGO-FM 104 (May 3, 1982)

Richard Gossett pilots KSFX through its final minutes. At about 49 minutes into the recording, the switch is made, and KGO (810 AM) begins its news/talk simulcast on 103.7 FM with the ABC Radio Network’s national newscast.
