DENNIS ERECTUS BENEFIT CD

Jim Sheehan, Dana Jang and other friends of Dennis Erectus are working to put together a CD of classic airchecks featuring Dennis, who was still recuperating from a stroke he suffered back in 2006. The proceeds from the sale of the CD will go toward paying off Dennis’ mounting medical costs. If you have recordings that you can provide, please contact Jim Sheehan via email.

A collection of star-studded segment intros (“Hey Lefty! What time is it?”) featuring everyone from Van Halen, Grace Slick, Hall & Oates, Ian Hunter and the Greg Kihn Band to Kip Addotta and Chevy Chase. The latter part of the recording includes clips and intros from a variety of sources (movies, TV, political speeches) used as breakers between music and show segments. Courtesy of Janet Herrington.

Special thanks to Steve Hilson for his production assistance on the audio exhibits included in these exhibits.

Need more on air music from the day! Enjoy the memories – Insert some of the morning action with the album remixes – when they would string together songs – Funny stuff

It would be nice to hear a full show with the tunes, but music is not usually captured on airchecks, just whatever was on air while the mic is open. You have to fine fans who rolled a reel-to-reel recording.

You know, HALF of the KOME airstaff was female. Why use this all-boy photo?
