The KEWB Fabulous Forty Survey for the week before Christmas 1962 shows "Telstar" by The Tornadoes at the top for the second straight week, with The Four Seasons and "Big Girls Don't Cry" waiting in the wings in the number two slot.

The KEWB/91 announcing team at this time included Honest John Trotter (6-10 a.m.), Ken Knox (10 a.m.-2 p.m.), Emperor Bob Hudson (2-6 p.m.), Ron Lyons (6-9 p.m.), Casey Kasem "At The Mike" (9 p.m.-midnight), Michael Jackson (midnight-6 a.m.) and Don Thompson carrying the weight on weekends.
