KWBR Studio (1953 Photo)

A photograph of the studio of Oakland’s KWBR (1310 kilocycles) during the latter period of its ownership by Stafford and Eugene Warner.

The photograph is from the collection of Bouncin’ Bill Doubleday, who was an early rhythm and blues disc jockey on KWBR and, later, the station’s general manager during its heyday as KDIA in the late 1960s.

This photograph was generously provided to
the Bay Area Radio Museum by Paula Doubleday,
daughter of the legendary Bouncin’ Bill.
