Hugh Barrett DobbsThis print ad, announcing the shift of "Dobbsie" Hugh Barrett Dobbs to KFRC and the Columbia network stations on the West Coast, appeared on the back cover of Broadcast Weekly magazine for the week of February 7-13, 1932.

In addition to KFRC, the program could be heard each weekday from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on KMJ/Fresno, KOIN/Portland, KOL and KVI/Seattle, KDB/Santa Barbara, KHJ/Los Angeles, KGB/San Diego, KFPY/Spokane, KWG/Stockton and KFBK/Sacramento.

In 2006, Dobbsie (photo, right) was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame with the first class to be enshrined.
