Charles L. McCarthy

Charles L. McCarthy was the Manager of Station Relations for NBC in San Francisco. It was in 1934 when he joined with Ralph Brunton, one of the owners of KJBS, and together they purchased KQW in San Jose.

Later, when CBS took over KQW in the 1940s, McCarthy became the CBS Regional Vice President and the General Manager of KQW.
