Out Of The Fog," a comprehensive
chronicle of the origins of
broadcasting in the Bay Area.
Call letters used by several Bay Area stations on
different frequencies, including 1550 AM (1952-1956), 97.3 FM
(1956-1978), 106.9 FM (1978-2005) and 610 AM (2005-).
Operated at 99.7 FM from 1977-1988. Previously
operated as KNBC-FM, KNBR-FM and KNAI under NBC ownership (1948-1988).
Became KXXX ("X-100," 1988-1991) and KFRC-FM (1991-Present).
